Controls won’t come back

If Take lock is On, a single tap won’t show controls. Triple-tap the screen to unlock, then use the panel as usual.

The screen goes to sleep

Set the device Auto-Lock to Never for the day. ScreenGen uses a wake lock when it can; still keep brightness moderate on long holds.

Browser toolbar is still visible

You’re probably in the regular browser tab. Install to the Home Screen and open the icon for true fullscreen.

Cue / Fire cue is missing

Cues are for Phone and Video only. Switch mode if you need a timed fire. Plates and Social just need Hide UI.

Uploads and privacy

• Local video picks stay on the device.
• Session uploads (contact photo, wallpaper, icons, remote video) are short-lived and deleted after 24 hours.

What does it cost?

A ScreenGen account has a Free plan with the solid plates, and Pro at $15/mo or $165/yr (one month free) for phone, social, video and still modes, Projects and Scenes, Pair Remote, Pair Device, and cloud media. Compare plans or sign up.

Remote won’t connect

• Confirm the display still shows Waiting for remote… with a live code.
• On the controller, open screengen.tv/remote and scan or type the same code. Only the display needs Pro — the controller does not sign in.
• Both devices need network access, and the controller has to be on the same site as the display. Start a new pair if the code expired.
• A code takes one controller at a time. If a phone is already paired, disconnect it before joining from another.

Displays won’t join a Pair Device session

• The controller has to still be hosting — check for Hosting… on the project.
• Displays join at screengen.tv/pair, not the remote page. A remote code and a device code are not interchangeable, and using the wrong page reports which one the code belongs to.
• Displays do not sign in — if the joining phone is sent to Sign in, use Pair this device on that screen, or open screengen.tv/pair directly.
• A session holds eight displays. Codes expire after 24 hours — start hosting again for a fresh one.
